1) Classification by material

Nylon/Tedolon/PP/acrylic/cotton/polyester/onion/spandex/rayon/rayon etc.

The distinction between nylon and PP ribbon: generally, nylon ribbon is woven before dyeing, so the color of cut yarn will not pan-white due to uneven dyeing, while PP ribbon will not be white because it dyes and weaves yarn first; compared with PP ribbon, nylon ribbon has luster and softness; it can also be distinguished by chemical reaction of combustion; generally, nylon ribbon price is higher than PP ribbon.

Tedolon ribbon is soft and dull.

Acrylic ribbon is made of two kinds of materials: Teflon and cotton

The price of cotton ribbon is generally higher.

2) by braiding method

Plain weave, twill weave, satin weave and miscellaneous weave. (PP ribbons, such as plain/wavelet/twill/safety ribbon/pit/bead/jacquard, can be divided into 900D/1200D/1600D according to their yarn thickness; at the same time, we should pay attention to the thickness of the ribbon and determine its unit price and tenacity.)

They are mainly woven and knitted belts. Ribbon, especially jacquard ribbon, is similar to cloth labeling technology, but the warp yarn of cloth labeling is fixed, and the weft yarn expresses the pattern; while the basic weft yarn of the ribbon is fixed, and the pattern is expressed by warp yarn, using a small machine, each typesetting, production and adjustment machine may take a long time, and the efficiency is relatively low. But it can produce a wide variety of dazzling products, not always the same face as the cloth label. The main function of ribbon is decorative, but also functional.
